There Really is a Santa

Thoughts On Christmas

All the children's eyes are smiling,
Christmas Eve is finally here!
Outside my window snow is falling,
This brightest evening of the year.

The children dream of Christmas morning;
Santa Claus is on the way!
And I, a father, watch it snowing,
And drift back to another day

When I, a child, watched in wonder
As magic filled the world with joy.
I see myself, in ghosty shadows,
Long ago a little boy.

The house is quiet, dark, and still,
And I can't sleep although I'm trying.
The children's dreams are filled with visions
Of Santa Claus and reindeer flying.

In the silence of this evening
I watch the winter snowflakes fall;
For time is such a precious gift...
And love the greatest gift of all.

A Child's Heart Inside

Remember the wonder we felt as children
As Christmastime came near?
That warm and lovely feeling
That always came this time of year?
Somehow that feeling left me
When I lost the child inside.
Years and years have passed since then
And I've never even tried
To look at Christmas as I did then,
With a child's heart inside.

This Christmas will be different though;
So many things have changed.
The world is very different now;
It's all been rearranged.
I found a place inside me now,
Where the child has gone to hide,
And as a child this Christmas,
I'll have a child's heart inside.

May the love, peace, and wonder of Christmas
Be with you now and always.

Christmas Angels

Angels, angels, in the night,
Star of wonder shining bright.
Behold a King is born today;
In Bethlehem, the Wise Men say.

Angels, angels, behold the Son,
The Prophet, the annointed One,
Has come to save the world from sin.
Let the age of Love begin.
Angels, angels, holy night,
Star of wonder shining bright.

May you have a Blessed Christmas.
