A Prayer for Priests

Keep them, I pray Thee, dearest Lord,
Keep them, for they are Thine-
Thy priest whose lives burn out before
Thy consecrated shrine.
Keep them, for they are in the world,
Though from the world apart;
When earthly pleasures tempt, allure,-
Shelter them in Thy heart.
Keep them, and comfort them in hours
Of loneliness and pain,
When all their lives of sacrifice
For souls seems but in vain.
Keep them, and O remember, Lord,
They have no one but Thee,
Yet they have only human hearts,
With human frailty.
Keep them as spotless as the Host,
That daily they caress;
Their every thought and word and deed,
Deign, dearest Lord, to bless.

Our Lady, Queen of the Clergy, pray for them.

At the hour of death the holy Masses you have heard
devoutly will be your greatest consolation.
Through the Body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ,
He forgives you all the venial sins,
which you are determined to avoid.
He forgives you all your unknown
sins that you never confessed.
The power of Satan over you is diminished.
Every Mass will go with you to Judgement and will plead
for pardon for you. By every Mass you can diminish
the temporal punishment due to your sins,
more or less, according to your fervour.
By devoutly assisting at Holy Mass you render
the greatest homage possible
to the Sacred Humanity of Our Lord.
Through the Holy Sacrifice,
Our Lord Jesus Christ
supplies for many of your negligences and omissions.
By piously hearing Holy Mass
you afford the Souls in Purgatory
the greatest possible relief.
One Holy Mass heard during your life
will be of more benefit to you
than many heard for you after your death.
Through Holy Mass you are preserved
from many dangers and misfortunes
which would otherwise have befallen you.
You shorten your Purgatory by every Mass.
During Holy Mass you kneel amid
a multitude of holy Angels,
who are present at the Adorable Sacrifice
with reverential awe.
Through Holy Mass you are blessed
in your temporal goods and affairs.
When you hear Holy Mass devoutly,
offering it to Almighty God
in honour of any particular Saint or Angel,
thanking God for the favors bestowed on him, etc., etc.,
you afford that Saint or Angel a new degree of honour,
joy and happiness, and draw his special love and protection
on yourself. Every time you assist at Holy Mass,
besides other intentions,
you should offer it in honour of the Saint of the day.

O Sacrament most holy,
O Sacrament divine!
All praise and all thanksgiving
be every moment Thine!
Who Comes?

The Word made flesh for me,
The Lord Who died for me,
The Love made food for me,
He comes!

To Whom Does He Come?

To one redeemed by Him,
To one allied with Him,
To one who longs for Him,
He comes!

>Why Does He Come?

To reign upon His throne,
To reign supreme alone,
To make me all His own,
He comes!

Oh, I am glad to come to Thee,
My only rest;
To lay my weary head awhile,
Upon Thy breast;
To bring the burden of my grief
Hither to Thee;
And feel, O Jesus, Son of man,
Thy sympathy.

Prayer for the Restoration of the Roman Mass

O Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal High Priest and Immaculate Lamb of God,
slain for us and for many on the Altar of Calvary,
and continually offered to Thy Heavenly Father
in the clean oblation of Thy Eucharistic Sacrifice;
grant,we beseech Thee, through the merits and prayers
of Thy Saints Gregory the Great, Thomas Aquinas,
and Pius V, that the holy Roman and Apostolic Catholic Mass,
ratified, expounded, and perpetuated by them respectively,
may be rightly restored to the Altars of Thy Church
throughout the world: that once again this most awesome,
majestic and perrenial rite may offer Infinite worship
and homage to the Most Blessed Trinity,
the fullest fruits and consolation and spiritual
nourishment to the faithful,
an impregnable defense and counterbalance against
the rising tide of evil, and a sure termination of the anguish,
fear, doubts, and profanations occasioned by its
unsanctioned abandonment and replacement.

O Holy Saints of the centuries,
who sanctified and nourished your souls with
the perennial Roman Mass,
and Holy Martyrs who shed their blood for it, grant,
we pray in desperation,
that we will no longer be bereft of it, and that we will,
as thee, commit ourselves to the Mass at all costs
and to the last breath of our lives.
Holy Virgin Mary, Mother of the Immaculate Eucharistic Victim,
pray for us that we may bravely, prudently,
and diligently and with sound doctrine and means,
pursue the rectification of the present encroachments
on the Eucharistic Sacrifice, and secure,
with thy powerful maternal aid, the restoration of our
Roman Catholic Mass
and the Reign and Order of the Kingship of Jesus Christ
thy Son. Amen.
