Welcome

Friends Without Faces

We sit and we type, and we stare at our screens
We all have to wonder, what this possibly means.

With our mousewe roam, through the rooms in a maze
Looking for something or someone, as we sit in a daze.

We chat with each other, we type all our woes
Small groups we do form, and gang up on our foes.

We wait for somebody, to type out our name
We want recognition, but it is always the same.

We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes flirt
In IMs we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt.

We do form friendships - but - why we don't know
But some of these friendships, will flourish and grow.

Why is it on screen, we can be so bold
Telling our secrets, that have never been told.

Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind
With those we can't see, as though we were blind.

The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell.
We all have our problems, and need someone to tell.

We can't tell real people, but tell someone we must
So we turn to the 'puter, and to those we can trust.

Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains
They are Friends Without Faces, and odd little names.

[Just for LAUGHS]
The Dysfunctional Section of a Hallmark Store . . .

I always wanted to have someone to hold, someone to love
And now that you've come into my life . . .
(Inside the card) - I've changed my mind.

I must admit, you brought religion into my life . .
(Inside the card)-I never believed in Hell until I met you.

As the days go by, I think how lucky I am . . .
(Inside the card) - That you're not here to ruin it for me.

Congratulations on your promotion. Before you go . . .
(Inside the card)- Will you take the knife from my back?
You'll probably need it again.

Happy Birthday! You look great for your age . . .
(Inside the card) - Almost lifelike!

When we were together, you said you'd die for me . . .
(Inside the card)- Now we've broken up, I think it's time to
keep your promise.

We've been friends for a very long time . . .
(Inside the card) - What do you say we stop?

I'm so miserable without you . . .
(Inside the card) - It's almost like you're still here.

You are such a good friend. If we were on a sinking
ship and there was only one life jacket . . .
(Inside the card)-I'd miss you terribly and think of you often.

Happy Anniversary: Looking back over the years we've been together,
I can't help but wonder . . .
(Inside the card) - What was I thinking?

Take the time to have fun and be sure to let those
"friends without faces"
know how much you appreciate them.
