Your friends are very precious things;
Their love is like the rarest gem.
But friends are hard to find and keep

Seeds God has planted here on earth
Cannot be measured by earthly worth.

By God's love placed there from the start.

Value your friends, honor their decisions,
Never try to make their dreams your revisions,
Respect their feelings, never make demands,
Hold their love tightly in your hands.

Never be angry if you don't talk to them each day,
For a heart can be loving even from far away.
Trust in friendship, send a piece of your heart,
This is how friendship was intended from the start.

Hold their memory in your heart and mind,
Continue to love them all the time,
See them for what they really are--
True friends are Angels sent from afar!

There are friends who pass like ships in the night,
Who meet for a moment then sail out of sight,
With never a backwards glance of regret,
Friends we know briefly, then quickly forget.

Then there are friends that sail together,
Through quiet waters and stormy weather.
Helping each other through joy and strife,
These are the friends who bring meaning to life.
